PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The qualifying learner, on completion of this unit standard, will be able to use effective and legally acceptable methods to promote sport or activities in a community, whereby community awareness and community participation is maximised.
Competent qualifying learners will provide safe, quality and positive experiences to participants, and thereby strengthen and promote the sport profession in general. In addition learners will strive to upgrade existing sport skills and facilities in rural disadvantaged communities. In particular, at the conclusion of this unit standard the qualifying learner is capable of: In addition, on completion of this unit standard, the learner will be well positioned to extend his/her learning and practice into other areas of the sport or fitness profession such as leadership or management, or to strive towards sports or fitness management standards at higher levels. |
