PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
A person credited with this unit standard is able to conduct a basic health screening and fitness assessment to determine the physical activity readiness and fitness needs of a participant. The qualifying learner is also able to recommend a safe and effective pre-designed exercise programme through accurate evaluation of the needs and abilities of participants. The qualifying learner is further able to refer to other health-care or fitness practitioners for additional assessment and individualised exercise programme design, when required.
