PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Achieving this Unit Standard will make the qualifying learners in a supervisory capacity working in underground mines, surface mines, quarries and small-scale mines more effective while applying understanding of relevant legislation affecting the workplace on mines.

People credited with this Unit Standard are able to:
