PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner will be able to assess effects of their lifestyle, work schedules and working environment on their health and safety and implement affective strategies to reduce/control potential ill effects.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:
  • Developing a lifestyle strategy to counter the physiological effects of shift work.
  • Developing a lifestyle strategy to counter the psychological effects of shift work.
  • Developing a lifestyle strategy to counter the social effects of shift work.
  • Developing a lifestyle strategy to counter the effects of poor ergonomics.
