PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is aimed at individuals required to function in the events industry at entry level who need to gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the operational environment both from a national and international perspective. Individuals completing the unit standard will gain understanding of the key components of the events industry as well as the guidelines applicable to responsible event organising so as to provide support services and functions in the industry in a responsible manner.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
