PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for learners working within a Real Estate environment, seeking to acquire or enhance the competences to be a Principal in a Real Estate business or working within a Real Estate environment specialising in management or sales or rental. The acquisition of competence against this standard will add value to their understanding of the sector and functioning in the workplace. This standard will enable the learner to develop a practical understanding of the how to market, sell and lease property in community schemes, and the processing of such transactions.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Marketing a property in community schemes.
  • Selling a property in community schemes.
  • Letting and hiring a property in community schemes.
  • Applying after sales service in sales process applicable to community schemes.

    Financial status of the property and the community scheme is established to ensure correct handling of property by estate agent.

    Correct property descriptions or descriptions of rights are established to determine requirements of contract.
