PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is aimed at individuals involved in the development, maintaining and enhancing of performance in an operation team. Qualifying learners will be able to deal with unsatisfactory performance of individuals through the identification of problems and providing assistance to deal with the situation and thereby improve the quality of the performance of a team.

Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to:
  • Identify and address sub standard performance affecting performance of a team.
  • Assist in developing a course of remedial action.
  • Assist team members who have problems to achieve sustained, improved performance.

    The undesirable performance trend is brought to the attention of the team member.

    Any further remedial procedures are carried out promptly, in a fair and impartial way, and in line with levels of authority.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.
