PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will be useful to people who are required to provide basic information about Primary Health Care in the community.

People credited with this unit standard will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of elementary anatomy, physiology and human development
  • Understand health problems and disease patterns common to an identified community
  • Conduct a basic health education session
