PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for people working in the field of Labour Relations and Skills Development. It is also useful for people working with organisational transformation and change management.

On completion of this Unit Standard, the learner will be able to:
  • Demonstrate why the SAQA Act of 1995 is a clear departure from the past
  • Illustrate what the Skills Development Act wishes to achieve
  • Demonstrate why the Skills Development Levy Act is much more than a tax
  • Analyse the features of the Employment Equity Act for transformation of Society
