PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The purpose of this Unit Standard is to enable Construction Contractors to implement site administrative systems and procedures on a construction project. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
FETC NQF Level 2 literacy and numeracy competencies. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
1. Creditors include those supplying materials, plant and equipment hire, and fuels.
2. Procurement processes include the use of requisitions, orders, delivery notes, invoices and statements.
3. Reconciliation of creditors payments includes delivery notes, invoices and statements.
4. Measurement of work includes for "Materials on Site" and "work-in-progress".
5. Stock control includes: stock-taking, reconciliation of stores received, issued and on-hand, and includes all materials, plant and equipment, consumables and fuels.

UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
Assessment of learner achievements takes place at providers accredited by CETA (RSA, 1998b) for the provision of programs that result in the outcomes specified for the Certificate in Construction Contracting. CETA is responsible for moderation of learner achievements of learners who meet the requirements of this unit standard.
