PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Handle and place in position heavy equipment, accessories, materials and tools used in the refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation industry and provide information to a rigger to enable him to rig equipment etc. safely and without damage. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Identify tools, equipment, components, materials, accessories and electrical cables and electrical components used in the air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry. Know the function of refrigeration system components and accessories used in the air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
Moving and lifting equipment shall include but not be limited to: Hand trucks, appliance trucks, dollies, pry bars, pipe sections, wire and fibre ropes, eye and eye slings, bridle slings, spreader bars, tag lines, shackles, U-bolts.

Only non-notifiable moving, lifting or rigging is included.
