PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The emphasis in this unit is on equipping learners to acquire skills and knowledge that they can use to make an economic contribution to themselves and the country with focus on entrepreneurship.
The development of skills and knowledge in one or more arts forms such as visual arts, music, drama, dance, media or heritage promotion and conservation should be facilitated. Demonstrate skills at a level that is marketable in at least one arts form. This includes the understanding and ability to organise, publicise, promote and communicate. Learners become aware of the various career possibilities and career paths in the arts. |
