PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for persons who work in cash centres. Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to follow the correct procedures to collect and deliver notes and specie to and from the treasury.

1. All bundled notes are taken from the receiving tellers in the manner required by the bank. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. The receipt of notes and specie is recorded in line with the bank's procedures.

3. Amounts are verified against advice slips in the presence of the correct authorities according to the bank's procedures.

4. Notes are scrutinised and the correct action is taken for soiling and irregularities as required by the bank.

5. Notes are sorted and secured in the treasury according to standard procedures.

6. The treasury register is updated in terms of cash movement as required by the bank.

3. The officer in charge is notified of any problems that may exist according to the bank's procedures. 


UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.

3. Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.

Therefore anyone wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution which is accredited by the relevant ETQA.

    To work effectively with others as a member of a team, group, organisation and community when the presence of the correct people for the handing over of the notes is ensured according to the bank's procedures. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO ORGANISING 
    To organise and manage oneself and one's activities responsibly and effectively when all necessary security precautions are observed in line with the bank's policy. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO COLLECTING 
    To collect, organise and critically evaluate information when amounts are verified against advice slips in the presence of the correct authorities according to the bank's procedures. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO SCIENCE 
    To use science and technology effectively and critically (showing responsibility towards the environment and health of others) when the cash movement is compared to the system record as required by the bank's procedures.
