PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners accredited with this standard will have knowledge of the principles of pneumatics and hydraulics, be able to explain the use and function of pneumatic and hydraulic components, troubleshoot the pneumatic and hydraulic systems and explain the design and construction of basic pneumatic and hydraulic circuitry. The standard involves the application of both the theory and skills to achieve autotronics-specific outcomes.
