    Notes to the assessor:
  • Control of processes refers to all the plant pre-start checks, starting, stopping and isolating activities required to either return plant from major outage or preparations for a major outage.
  • Monitoring of processes refers to routine plant inspections, analysing plant conditions as well as reporting and recording activities.
  • Assessments should be carried out as close to the plant as possible. Simulations should be representative of actual plant conditions
  • Persons being assessed will be found not yet competent should safety of plant and personnel be jeopardised at any stage of the assessment.
  • Safety equipment apart from PPE includes the use of safety harnesses, life lines, life jacket and or life buoys.
