The importance of being in balance with a race horse when riding is described in terms of international riding rules and obtaining maximum speed. |

A race horse is ridden without reins at a trot on the lunge. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
A race horse is ridden with feet out of the stirrups while being lunged. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 |
A race horse is ridden through the bending poles at pace. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE |
Pace is a trot and slow canter, bending poles must be a maximum of eight meters apart and a minimum of four bending poles. |
