PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The learner credited with this unit standard will be able to carry out procedures to prepare a mare for serving and hold a mare for service. This will entail preventing the spread of disease on a stud farm; fitting restraints if required to minimise injury to the mare and stallion and holding the mare for serving and restraining the foal.
