PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is aimed at individuals that are involved in or are envisaging involvement in the coaching of tennis to players functioning on intermediate or advanced level. Individuals qualifying against this unit standard will be able to operate as advanced tennis instructors with the ability to instruct and refine the tactical and technical skills of young as well as adult tennis players.
The coaching skills obtained will enable individuals to further the standard of players to the highest school/club level and guide them towards provincial/regional level of participation in the game. Participants in the sport on this level could include youth, adults and individuals with disabilities involved in wheelchair tennis.
