PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The management of waste is becoming increasingly important as municipalities all over the country are challenged with the collection and transportation of large amounts of waste. However, the important thing is to plan and administer a cradle to the grave policy which seeks to decrease the amount of waste ultimately disposed of. This unit standard is for learners who need a broad overview of waste management, one of the critical environmental management aspects.
