PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner will be able to administer the Track Warrant system of train control by planning rail movement, electronically capturing tokens and issuing tokens to conform to POSMOR and related train working rules in a specific railway environment in order to contribute to safe movement on rail.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:
  • Planning rail movement.
  • Making rail movement arrangements.
  • Authorising rail movement.
  • Communicating and recording train movement according to train working rules.

    Confirmation of train's arrival at destination is recorded in accordance with organisational procedures.

    The authority is cancelled manually and electronically when reaching the destination in accordance with organisational procedures.
