PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner will be able to record truck and locomotive movements on a rolling stock information management system, record related information applicable to the specific environment, print vehicle lists, print works orders, obtain statistics for management information and contribute to safe movement on rail.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:

  • Recording information regarding movement of rolling stock on an information system.

    The procedure to access and log off from the system is explained in accordance with system requirements.

    Security and authority levels of the system are explained in terms of functions performed in own area of responsibility. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The back up procedure in degraded mode or absence of a capturing point is explained in accordance with organisational standards and procedures.
