This unit standard is aimed at individuals involved in the use of map and compass skills to plan and/or navigate a route in tracked or easy untracked environments. Individuals found competent against this unit standard will be able to handle navigation in a way conducive to the provision of a safe, quality, positive, experience to clients.

Essential features of a compass are clearly understood to ensure accurate reading. |
