PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for learners within the Safety in Society sub-field who work/wish to work in the Correctional Services as Corrections Officials. This Unit Standard meets the needs of the sub-field and of the society by providing competent Corrections Officials who by understanding the offender rehabilitation path and how it is applied in unit management, will contribute to the rehabilitation of offenders. The learner successfully completing this Unit Standard will gain essential knowledge and practical skills needed to implementing an offender's sentence plan.
