PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is aimed at individuals entering the pharmaceutical sales field. 'Pharmaceutical' includes medicines, medical products, medical devices, scheduled substances, veterinary medicines, products and devices, in accordance with the relevant current legislation. Individuals credited with this standard will have an understanding of the South African health care environment with special reference to managed health care. They will be able to apply their knowledge of the environment in order to be an effective pharmaceutical sales representative.
