PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will enable learners to manage conflicts and changes to requirements and ensure that all stakeholders and the project team remain in agreement on the solution scope.

A learner credited with this unit standard will be able to:
  • Ensure that changes to project work products are agreed upon by all stakeholders and documented accurately.
  • Maintain relationships between components to trace requirement changes and update relevant documentation.
  • Maintain requirements for re-use.
  • Prepare a requirements package.
  • Communicate requirements and changes to all stakeholders.

    Ensure that changes to project work products are agreed by all stakeholders and documented.

    Formal and informal changes to requirements are approved and documented to ensure that all stakeholder needs are met.

    Conflicts and issues with requirements are highlighted and resolved to ensure that consensus is reached between all stakeholders regarding the most appropriate solution.

    Changes to requirements are prioritised in order to allow the selection or design and development of the most appropriate solution.

    Multiple versions of requirements work products are maintained to ensure that changes can be traced in accordance with change control procedures.

    Impact analysis information is produced to ensure that agreed changes are included in the process.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this Unit Standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this Unit Standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA or with an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
