PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The purpose of this unit standard is to enable the safe, efficient and correct completion of the installation and removal of machines, equipment and systems in a gaming situation. The individual must also be able to convert or upgrade appropriate machines, systems or equipment.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
  • Comply with relevant internal and external rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Install and remove gaming machines and gaming related equipment and systems.
  • Convert and upgrade gaming machines and gaming related equipment and systems. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is assumed that learners are competent in:
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Communication at NQF Level 3 or equivalent. 

  • UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    Where required, guides to the scope and complexity of the learning are provided in the specific outcomes or assessment criteria. This unit standard does not cover maintenance, servicing or fault-finding and fault-resolving or repairs, although such activities may occur at the same time.

    Due care of customers, operations and assets of the organisation is taken while completing the installation or removal.

    The required reports relating to installation and/or removal are completed according to organisational requirements.
