PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The purpose of this unit standard is to enable the safe, efficient and correct completion of the installation and removal of machines, equipment and systems in a gaming situation. The individual must also be able to convert or upgrade appropriate machines, systems or equipment.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
  • Comply with relevant internal and external rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Install and remove gaming machines and gaming related equipment and systems.
  • Convert and upgrade gaming machines and gaming related equipment and systems.

    It is assumed that learners are competent in:
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.

    Due care of customers, operations and assets of the organisation is taken while completing the installation or removal.

    The required reports relating to installation and/or removal are completed according to organisational requirements.
