PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will enable the individual to batch coins and tokens following the correct procedure. The individual will understand the terms batch and rack, as well as the wrap or batch standards for coins and tokens.

In particular, on completion of this unit standard, the learner is able to:
  • Batch coins and tokens.
  • Describe verification procedure.
  • Describe batching procedures.

    Coins and tokens are batched correctly following all procedures.

    The terms batch and rack are explained and the procedures demonstrated accurately according to relevant procedure.

    Transportation and storage procedure of batched coins and tokens are described highlighting the aspect of security.

    The necessity of two parties agreeing on the accuracy of the verification and batch procedures is explained in accordance with company policy.

    The importance of the verification procedure is discussed as it pertains to batching coins and tokens.

    The procedure to be followed when foreign objects are discovered is described when verifying.
