PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for learners who are capable of monitoring and policing vehicle, driver and operator requirements with regard to the transportation of dangerous goods and substances. It will enable the learner to institute legal and preventative actions and thereby maintain safety on the roads. There has been a sharp rise in the use of road transportation for conveying dangerous goods and the competencies in this standard will help traffic officers to allay public concerns and fears regarding the safety of South African roads.
