PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
Learners accredited with this unit standard are able to test candidates to determine if their knowledge is at the level required for obtaining a learners licence. Learners accredited against this unit standard are capable of identifying candidates and administering the prescribed prerequisites for a learners licence as required by legislation in South Africa. Application of this set of competencies will ensure that appropriately licensed learner drivers enter the traffic system, thus promoting driver competence and contributing to road safety, and minimising loss of life and associated economic costs in South Africa. This unit standard influences adherence to traffic rules and promotes traffic safety.
