PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard reflects the need for visible control of passenger carrying and goods vehicles that are operated by various industries on a public road. It provides the learner with the competencies to enforce the law at traffic control centres and weighbridges. Overloading of passenger carrying and goods vehicles not only causes a tremendous amount of damage to the country's roads but also contributes to the serious problem of maintaining road safety.
