PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is for a person who operates fuel firing systems on steam generators. A person credited with this unit standard is able to operate the above systems by preparing the plant for service, monitor the startup conditions, monitor and sustain plant and or equipment operability, stabilize transient conditions, isolate shutdown plant, preserve plant and maintain regulatory requirements. This unit standard applies to fossil/Bio fuel fired steam generators fuel firing systems, excluding any control by means of interrelated or integrated control systems. |
