PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for extension personnel in the appropriate field to apply the empower clients and communities on scientific decision making.

Learners achieving this unit standard will be able to providing skills and knowledge of natural resource management, community dynamics, the production processes, and institutional support in the context of scientific decision-making.

In addition learners achieving this unit standard will be able to:
  • Give advice on the sustainable use of natural resources.
  • Contextualise community dynamics in decision making.
  • Make recommendations on production processes.
  • Link and interact with networking institutions.
