PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for extension in a related field to evaluate extension in a simple setting.

Learners credited with this unit standard will be able to:
  • Plan and prepare to evaluate extension programmes based on programme goals and objectives.
  • Apply extension evaluation methods in a simple setting.
  • Facilitate the collection of data to assist with the planning of evaluation.
  • Initiate the evaluation process.

    This unit standard will contribute to the qualitative development of learners by providing progression to this NQF Level within the agricultural extension environment. Recognition, further mobility and transportability within the field of development are accommodated for. The skills, knowledge and understanding demonstrated within this unit standard are essential for social and economic transformation and development within the economic sector.
