PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit is able to go to briefing sessions in order to obtain data and process that data. They will be able to transcribe the information received so that deadlines are met.

Range:
  • Marketing Research refers to the systematic and objective identification, collection analysis and dissemination of information for the purpose of improving decision making related to the identification and solution of problems and opportunities in marketing.

    The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Attending briefing sessions.
  • Interpreting clients briefs.
  • Liaising with clients.
  • Returning work to recent parties. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in:
  • Communication at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
