PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The qualifying learner will be able to accurately correct, edit, code and record marketing data. The learners will be able to extract and use data gathered in a positive way which may have a positive effect on the results of the information processed.

Range: Marketing Research refers to the systematic and objective identification, collection analysis and dissemination of information for the purpose of improving decision making related to the identification and solution of problems and opportunities in marketing.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Extracting open-ended responses.
  • Coding correctly, neatly and accurately.
  • Editing accurately.
  • Capturing data. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in:
  • Communication at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
