PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will be useful for people working in local authorities as environmental health practitioners charged with noise control. It will assist them in the handling of environmental noise infringements. They apply the by-laws, facilitate issues between complainants and offenders, and initiate further action where this becomes necessary, including notices and legal proceedings.
This unit standard will recognize the knowledge of processes and procedures for dealing with alleged noise infringement that environmental health practitioners require if they are to discharge their duties effectively.
