PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The purpose of this unit standard is to equip learners with the skills to plan for the protection and protect designated persons against harm during the period of transition from transit protection to protection on foot and vice versa. Specific competencies are needed to ensure protection during dangerous phases such as the embus and debus phase. Learners will assess transition areas and manage risks to the designated person. They will also be equipped to conclude transition duties related to embussing and debussing.
