This unit standard is for learners who have to demonstrate the ability to monitor, report and advise on the safety principles pertaining to sources of electrical energy.

Learners credited with this unit standard will be capable of:
  • Monitoring, reporting and advising on the specified requirements pertaining to the safety principles regarding sources of electrical energy.
  • Isolating sources of electrical energy is explained.
  • Monitoring, reporting and advising on the relevant legislation, including laws, bylaws, and maintenance protocols with examination records, applicable to sources of electrical energy.
  • Explaining the need for and use of Personal Protective Equipment when dealing with sources of electrical energy.
