PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The person credited with this unit standard will be able to explain the Merchant Shipping Collision Regulations and will be able to describe how this is implemented on board a vessel. The learner will also be able to explain the conduct of a vessel in any condition of visibility, while in the sight of other vessels and in restricted visibility and explain the use of lights and shapes on-board a variety of vessels.
