PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will enable qualifying learners to demonstrate an understanding of the embalming process and other more specialised preservation techniques and their application in the working environment of a mortuary facility or laboratory. Learners will be able to the use preservation processes pertaining to cadaveric material and will also be able to understand and use preservation techniques when handling and storing cadaveric material.
