PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners credited with this unit standard are able to understand the organisation structure; define the roles and responsibilities of the different levels and where they fit into the organogram.

The learner will be able to understand the mission and vision of the organisation and apply the basic management processes towards achieving those objectives while working effectively and effciently with others.

On completion of this unit standard the qualifing learner will be able to:
  • Display an understanding of an organisational structure.
  • Understand and apply policy and procedures to meet vision, mission and organisational objectives.
  • Explain and apply the basic activities involved in the management process.
  • Work with community, peers, and supervisors. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in numeracy and literacy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
