The purpose of the learning for this unit standard is that learners are able to gain confidence on within themselves to perform on stage.

Recognise the need to keep focus and develop motivation to succeed, which is one of the most important traits in the Music Industry or many others.

This unit standard will contribute to the development of the learner within the music field by providing recognition, mobility and portability within various sub-fields of economic activity in the music industry. The skills knowledge and attitudes embedded within this unit standard are essential for creating a solid foundation to function in the field of music.

Range statement: establishing basic stage presence includes but is not limited to: stage-fright, performance anxiety and shyness.

Learners accredited with this unit standard will be capable of:

    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • Any individual wishing to be assessed, (including RPL) against this Unit Standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or organisational institution accredited by the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a memorandum of understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this Unit Standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a memorandum of understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this Unit Standard must hold a minimum of level 3 qualification in the music field.
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this US or assessing this US, must be accredited as a organisational with the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a memorandum of understanding with the relevant ETQA.
