This unit standard will enable the learner to apply intermediate aural and musical listening techniques (See supplementary information) to transcribe musical pieces.
This unit standard will contribute to the development of the learner within the music field by providing recognition, mobility and portability within the various sub-fields of economic activity in the music industry. Major and minor, triads, augmented, diminished and suspended forth chords and their respective inversions are identified and their differences noted according to industry practice. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 |
Major, minor, augmented diminished and suspended forth triads and their respective inversions are sung using any recognised notation. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
Spelling (example: C- would represent C minor) of above chord symbols are identified and noted according to industry practice. |

Note values specified by provider are used to write the chord tones of melodic and harmonic scales. |
