    The correct tools or equipment are selected for particular procedures.

    Tools, equipment, materials, containers, components and product are cleaned and checked for damage.

    Correct techniques are applied when using the tools, equipment and services. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Adjust and maintain equipment.

    Adjustment and maintenance tools include gauges, jigs, templates, grease guns, Allen keys, compressed air.

    Correct materials are used to clean equipment and product.

    Cleaning materials include rags, solvents, and scourers.

    Tools and equipment are adjusted, cleaned and stored in accordance with specifications.

    Storage includes temporary storage in specified areas, cabinets, and racks.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    A clean, tidy, safe working environment is maintained in accordance with organisational requirements.

    Prepare, lift, load and unload products, equipment and containers. 
    OUTCOME RANGE 
    Lifting tools and materials include cranes, hoists and web- and nylon slings.

    Lifting tools and materials are used in accordance with requirements.

    Tools and equipment are prepared for use.

    Condition of equipment and parts related to production services is checked in accordance with specifications.

  • Services include compressed air, vacuum, fluid power, electricity, steam, cooling and heating fluids, lubrication, gas.
