PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This Unit Standard is intended for people who work in the public sector. People credited with this Unit Standard are able to explain the main roles and responsibilities of the local level of government in South Africa and to articulate how their work roles and accountabilities contribute to the fulfilment of these roles and responsibilities.

Accreditation for this Unit Standard shall be obtained from the relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance Body, through summative and formative assessment by a registered assessor.
