This unit standard will be useful for those who prepare for a presentation to meet the target audience's needs and requirements, thus producing information focusing on the subject matter to be presented to the target audience.

Learners accredited with this Unit Standard will be capable of:
  • Identifying and describing sources of information.
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting information for an effective presentation.
  • Expressing information in an appropriate way for effective presentation.

    Sources of information include but are not limited to, on-line and print information, documents, library, journals, books, interviews, questionnaires, personal observation, etc.

    Research topics required to achieve the objectives of the audience are identified and described reflective of audience's needs, interests, and expectations.

    The level of detail required in terms of the content is determined and clarified with concerned parties.

    Information to be included or excluded in the presentation is organised and chosen to reflect the expectations and interests of the audience. 


    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this Unit Standard and the related Exit Level Outcomes of the Qualification must be accredited by the relevant ETQA.
  • External Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA at its discretion.
  • The accredited training provider will oversee internal moderation of assessment.
  • Internal and external moderation should encompass achievement of competence described in this Unit Standard as well as the integrated competence described in the Exit Level Outcome of the Qualification.
