PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for learners who will be required to demonstrate fundamental knowledge, in order to support future development of knowledge in the specialised areas of forensic science. This unit standard is intended to differentiate between the general fields of physical and natural science and the specialised area of forensic science, and demonstrate the relationship of forensic science to the physical sciences. Learners will be informed about the purpose of forensic science within the fields of safety and security, health and justice.
