PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This Unit Standard is intended for Managers of organisations or business units, Security Officers and learners who manage asset risk in insurance and other organisations. It will be useful for learners in Short Term Business Insurance including Underwriters, Surveyors and Loss Adjusters.

The activities and limitations on security management imposed by the Security Industry Regulatory Authority Act and accompanying Regulations are outlined with reference to the legislated requirements for service providers. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 |
The activities and limitations on security management imposed by the South African Constitution and Bill of Rights are outlined with reference to human rights. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
The activities and limitations on security management imposed by the Criminal Procedures Act and accompanying Regulations outlined in terms of powers of arrest. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 |
The activities and limitations on security management imposed by the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and accompanying Regulations are outlined in terms of shifts, salaries, use of force, leave and the rights of employees. |
