PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
The purpose of this unit standard is to enable learners to erect and brace timber roof structures, in line with safety legislation, and National Building Regulations and requirements, and based on specification drawings. The role of safety is crucial, and understanding the implications of design modifications and industry convention to deal with practical challenges are important factors when attaining the outcomes of this unit standard. Learners mostly apply competence under supervision of a team leader.

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
