  • Plan the installation of a single-user personal computer and peripherals
  • Install, test, and gain user acceptance for the installation of a single-user personal computer and peripherals.

    Test the installation of a single-user computer and peripherals.

    1. The test ensures that the computer system operates according to the manufacturer's and installation specifications.

    2. The testing procedure meets the manufacturer's guidelines.

    3. The test results are recorded according to organisation specifications.

    4. The test ensures that the system software and application software communicate with the hardware according to the manufacturer's specifications.

    1. An explanation of the manufacturer supplied operating procedures allows the user to begin operating the system.

    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
    Providers must be accredited by the relevant Education and Training Quality Authority (ETQA) before they can offer programs of education and training assessed against unit standards.

    Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.
